{"id":653,"date":"2011-08-10T21:37:26","date_gmt":"2011-08-11T04:37:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nerdhive.org\/glob\/?p=653"},"modified":"2011-08-10T21:37:26","modified_gmt":"2011-08-11T04:37:26","slug":"underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.soleillapierre.ca\/blog\/?p=653","title":{"rendered":"Underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Road trip post for August 9, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Not much to say about today.\u00a0 Other than the June outing to Long Beach, this is the first day of my big trip.\u00a0 Uneventful; I got off to a bit of a late start and except for a few short breaks, drove all the way through until 7:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Stayed at the Three Valley Lake Chateau, that picturesque resort with the red roof between Sicamous and Revelstoke.\u00a0 It&#8217;s pretty nice.\u00a0 No cell service here though, and I couldn&#8217;t get the wireless working with my laptop, hence the delayed posts.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a big &#8220;Ghost Town&#8221; tourist trap next door that I&#8217;ve always eyeballed on the way past.\u00a0 Since admission is half price for resort guests, I&#8217;ll check it out in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s GPS track (no music because I was driving with the window down all day due to the heat):<\/p>\n<p>[gmap width=&#8221;80%&#8221; file=&#8221;__UPLOAD__\/2011\/08\/20110809.kml&#8221; zoom=&#8221;auto&#8221; type=&#8221;satellite&#8221; center=&#8221;files&#8221; visible=&#8221;true&#8221;] <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Road trip post for August 9, 2011.
